Hi guys! Hope you’re all doing well, enjoying your life and everything going on.

Today has not been particularly productive in terms of studying, but I did complete all my summary questions for chemistry! That means I only have 2 pages of practice exam questions, an official homework, 2 online quizzes, notes to do on the next topic we are covering and as many past paper questions as I can fit in after that! Truly disastrous, the amount of homework I still have left, and I haven’t even begun my revision yet.

Despite all that, I am feeling optimistic today. I am on Q3 out of 10 questions for my practice questions and I should hopefully be able to do them tomorrow. I am strongly considering heading to Central Library tomorrow so I can spend a few hours focusing on homework, now let’s just hope I have the strength to go tomorrow morning. It must be made clear that I am the farthest thing from a morning person to exist and my morning doesn’t begin until at the very least 11am. That’s alright though! Even an 11am start means I can get a solid 4/5 hours of work done.

I think I’m going to be done with work for today as I feel like I need a little bit of time to myself. Right now I’m going to clean up my room (still something I need to check off my to-do list!) and file away all the paper that’s littering my floor. After that, I plan on getting a biscuit and settling into bed with my book, The Kite Runner, which I’m really looking forward to reading.

Thinking about my medium-term study plans (for this half term basically, so I suppose they could be considered short-term), I would really like to complete all my component 1 notes for biology after I do my homework, and then focus on component 2 revision for my next mock which will be sometime in the next half term. I am extremely determined to get my A* in biology, despite the fact that these past few mocks and exams have been unrealistically easy, in terms of question type. The reality is, the application questions can be quite difficult and I think I will definitely have to branch out into other exam boards to find harder, scenario based questions, more similar to the ones we will be doing. It’s really difficult having new specifications brought in for almost every subject and I’m feeling the struggle of not having enough past paper questions, especially in biology.

I still have not touched my French IRP yet, let alone all the homework I have for French. I’m not sure when I’ll get round to that but hopefully soon, as I’m meeting up with a friend later on in the week to go over IRPs together, as I mentioned in my last post.

My study goals for tomorrow:
– Complete my organic chemistry practice questions
– Do a maths past paper for C4
– C2 Daily Dose catch up (which I’ve still not updated yet)
– Go back over my French IRP and cut some content out
– Find research for my IRP discussion points
– Make notes on the next few modules of component 2 for biology

That’s all from me for today, here’s to a successful Monday and productive trip to the library!
