Hi guys! Hope things have been going well for you!
I’ve had a better day today than yesterday, despite the mishaps this morning leading me to not being able to go to the library. Honestly, you guys, I think the universe was against me today because every tiny thing that happened this morning contributed to the bigger picture that led to me just staying at home to study. I consider myself to be very determined when the time calls for it but today I thought it’d be best for the universe to have its way, in case there was something ominous behind it.
So I made the dining table downstairs my new library (with snacks instead of books, how dreamy!) and I pretty much stayed down there all day. I took a few breaks to stretch my legs and I even let myself succumb to a 30 minute nap, but other than that, I spent my whole day revising. I didn’t even know I had it in me!
Mainly, I just worked on biology in the morning, went over C3 maths for a while, making brief notes on all important points, and then did a bit of French essay revision. Of course, that was all scattered with various past papers and marking and note-taking and complaining so all in all, I had a pretty successful day I think.
My study goals for tomorrow are:
– Mark that chemistry paper I did a few days ago and do half of the second one (I always save half of the paper for the night before so it feels productive without being overwhelming)
– Continue more French essay practice by taking notes on themes and characters
– French translation practice
– Make some more biology notes
– Complete a few more biology past papers
– Look over some old biology past paper questions
– Go over Core Concepts, Component 1 and 3 again
– C3 practice
I will need to go over Component 2 again too at some point but that may end up being the morning of the exam.
We are now at an extremely crucial point and tomorrow is kind of my only day to get as ahead as possible on my revision. I essentially need to do French revision for both papers, biology, chemistry and C3 maths so I don’t have any more problems with them at all and then the night before each exam I’ll be able to just recap content. I’m so glad I don’t have an exam on Thursday because Wednesday night and Thursday will be totally devoted to C4, especially as certain C4 questions have the potential to be super difficult.
On the bright side, in less than a week I’ll be totally finished with A-Level exams! I am already looking forward to my post-exam season nap. This next week is going to be super stressful I think but I want to remain calm and approach everything as it comes. The truth is that everything I’ve done for the past two years is culminating over these three weeks and I have to make the most out of it, regardless of how I feel towards the whole concept of exams.
Though, let me assure you, you should probably keep your eye out on a blog post highlighting the flaws of the exam system after my exams are over and I have a bit more time, because I’m extremely passionate about the issues brought about as a result of the education system .
It’s almost 1 in the morning now so I’m going to go to bed. I’ve really not had much time to waste today so I feel a bit lost and like I want to do something to relax but I think sleep is the best course of action at this point. Thank you all for reading, I hope you are keeping your motivation as high as possible for your remaining exams if you have any left!
